| Race Comments: GOING BALLISTIC moved toward the inside while trailing immediately after the start, continued unhurried while just off the rail well behind some soft fractions, began to move far turn, came widest into the lane, finished full of run down the center of the track to be in time. GRASSHOPPER brushed while prompting the pace three wide into the first turn, continued to lay just off the pace in the three path in the run up the backstretch, challenged outside while being carried out a bit turning for home, gained the advantage, clear, could not contain the winner. PAST THE POINT brushed with the runner up into the first turn inside that one, pressed the moderate pace, challenged between while carrying GRASSHOPPER out exiting the final turn, raced on equal terms with that one nearing the furlong marker, proved no match for the top two in the late going. LEONNATUS ANTEAS bit fractious in the gate, rated off the pace and the inside, in the second flight between foes into the lane, managed little improvement in finishing evenly. STRONG CITY void of early foot, improved, passed tiring foes. BETA CAPO off the pace, lacked a response in the drive. FORTY ACRES broke sharp, narrowly set a soft pace, faltered when confronted for the drive. POINT GOLD within striking distance inside, had nothing for the drive. CAJUN CONQUEST remained back while also lacking a bid in the drive. |
