Race Comments: CURLIN was unhurried early on, advanced three wide on the second turn, responded when set down in upper stretch, finished determinedly outside and was up in the final strides. LAWYER RON pressed the pace from the outside while in hand, took the lead entering the stretch and dug in gamely along the inside but could not hold off the winner late. POLITICAL FORCE raced close up along the inside while in hand, was bothered as pacesetter BROTHER BOBBY tired in upper stretch and lacked a rally. SUN KING was outrun early, put in a four wide run on the second turn and had nothing left for the stretch drive. BROTHER BOBBY quickly showed in front, set the pace along the inside, was steadied while tiring entering the stretch and dropped back. INDY WIND was outrun early, advanced outside on the second turn and had no response when roused. MALIBU MOONSHINE dropped back early, raced inside and tired. |
