| Race Comments: CORINTHIAN raced close up while tucked away on the rail, waited for room on the far turn, slipped out nearing the quarter pole, split rivals to challenge at the quarter pole and drew off with authority to win going away. GOTTCHA GOLD sprinted clear early, set a fast pace along the rail to the top of the stretch, yielded to CORINTHIAN in upper stretch and was no match for that one while clearly besting the others. DISCREET CAT, steadied and moved out on the first turn, stalked outside along the backstretch, lacked a winning bid then dug in to win the battle for third. WANDERIN BOY, checked early, chased the pace for six furlongs then weakened and was outfinished for third. LEWIS MICHAEL bobbled at the start, steadied on the first turn, chased inside and failed to respond when called upon on the turn. XCHANGER saved ground racing off the pace and had no rally. PARK AVENUE BALL raced four wide early, chased outside and tired. HIGH FINANCE raced three wide early, chased four wide to the turn and gave way. |
