 The Foal Fund is the NTRA's new voluntary funding program designed to include owners and breeders in the association's effort to make a difference in Washington. It replaces the NTRA's foal check-off program with The Jockey Club, which concluded in 2008.
Contributions to The Foal Fund enable the NTRA's legislative team to represent horse racing on Capitol Hill. Issues facing the industry include Internet gaming protections, pari-mutuel winnings withholding laws, equine sales taxation, unwanted horses and immigration.
