The Eclipse Awards
Named after the great 18th-century racehorse and sire Eclipse, who was undefeated in 18 starts, the Eclipse Awards are presented annually to recognize Thoroughbred horses and individuals whose achievements have earned them the title of Champion in their respective categories, and to members of the media for outstanding coverage of Thoroughbred racing.
The Eclipse Awards are presented by the Daily Racing Form, the Breeders’ Cup and The Stronach Group.

Tuesday, January 16 thru Monday, January 21
Tuesday, January 15:
- Eclipse Charity Golf Tournament at Westin Diplomat Country Club benefiting Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).
Wednesday, January 16:
- Eclipse Slots Tournament benefiting The Race for Education and Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.
Thursday, January 17:
- Eclipse Celebrity Poker Tournament benefiting PDJF.
Friday, January 18: 7-9 p.m., Gulfstream Park Walking Ring
- Eclipse-eve Cocktail Party Under the Stars at Gulfstream Park benefiting Gulfstream Thoroughbred Aftercare Program (admission included with Eclipse Award ticket).
Saturday, January 19:
- Eclipse Awards Dinner, Awards Ceremony and After Party, 6 p.m.-midnight, Gulfstream Park-Sport of Kings Theater.
- ‘Sunshine Millions’ featuring six rich stakes events offering over $1,000,000 in purses.
- Daily Racing Form Handicapping Expo.
- ‘First Chance, Last Chance’ Handicapping tournament (Saturday-Sunday) and qualifier to the Daily Racing Form/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas.
