After a dominating debut win, in which he led from start to finish, Overanalyze finished fourth in his second start in the Hopeful Stakes (G2). The bay Dixie Union colt bounced right back in his next start with a visually impressive triumh in the Futurity Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park.
Overanalyze earned a second graded stakes win and stamped himself one to watch on the 2013 Triple Crown trail with a gutsy victory over Normandy Invasion in the Remsen Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct in November.
Things didn't go according to plan in his 2013 debut when he finished fifth in the Gotham Stakes (G3) but he rebounded to win the Arkansas Derby (G1) by an impressive 4 1/4 lengths to secure his Derby spot.
