Vyjack won his career debut in early November at Aqueduct by 1 3/4 lengths before tackling stakes company in December. The move proved to be successful when the then 2-year-old gelding won the Traskwood Stakes. His 2013 debut was in the Jerome Stakes (Gr. 2), where he beat Siete de Oros by a head. He stepped onto the Derby trail with a win in the Gotham Stakes (G3) over West Hills Giant but ended his undefeated streak with a third in the Wood Memorial (G1).
Vyjack earned himself a spot in the Kentucky Derby with his last two races and is one of two potential Derby entrants from the first crop of Into Mischief.
