Zagora was a two-time Group 3 winner in France before being shipped to the United States during her 3-year-old season in 2010. In her lone start in America that year, she finished second in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (G1) at Keeneland Race Course.
The daughter of Green Tune won just one of her five starts in 2011, but it was a big one – the Diana Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course. As a 5-year-old in 2012, she won the Endeavour (G3) and Hillsborough (G3) Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs as well as the Gallorette Handicap (G3) at Pimlico Race Course.
Bred by E. Puerari and Oceanic Bloodstock in France, Zagora has raced exclusively on turf in her career. She brought $134,394 as a yearling at auction in France, and has earnedmore than $2.3 million with a career-defining victory in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1).
