Horse PAC Surpasses $3 Million In Contributions

Horse PAC, the bipartisan political action committee of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), today announced that it has surpassed the $3 million mark in total contributions since its inception in 2002.

“Over 500 NTRA members who recognize the importance of a strong industry presence in Washington D.C., have made this milestone possible,” said Alex Waldrop, President and CEO of the NTRA.

Horse PAC supports candidates who serve on the committees that oversee livestock and agricultural issues, Internet gaming, taxation, immigration and the Interstate Horseracing Act; serve in leadership roles; understand horse racing’s issues; have racetracks, breeding farms, training centers or ADWs in their states; are members of the Congressional Horse Caucus; or are emerging leaders meriting early support in their legislative careers.
