Blog - GAMBLING

Looking for a way a fun way for you and your friends to get involved in horse racing this summer and fall? Well, then check out the Breeders' Cup fantasy game - Fantasy 'Capping - and you can create your own league to play against your friends for points and prizes! You can also join a public league and play against other racing fans if that’s more your style.

The free-to-play online fantasy game returns for its second year starting with the Whitney Handicap at Saratoga on Saturday, Aug. 3, and it's easier and more fun to play than ever. Register or re-activate your Fantasy 'Capping team now, join or create up to five leagues, and compete against your friends and followers for handicapping bragging rights.

Each week of the 13-week regular season Fantasy ’Capping will feature a key Breeders' Cup prep or two. And these aren’t just any races – they’re the best races from the best venues throughout the summer and fall, including races from Saratoga Race Course, Del Mar, Santa Anita Park and Keeneland Race Course to name a few.

Fantasy ’Capping gives you all of the information that you need to play, including complete entries, Daily Racing Form past performances, and contender-by-contender analysis. Once you've made your pick, all you have to do is decide how to place your fantasy wager. Select a fantasy $20 win, place, or show bet, or play a fantasy $10 exacta box. If you're right, you'll win fantasy earnings based on the real track payout for your wager.

The game culminates with a two-race playoff season on Breeders' Cup weekend. Fantasy earnings on the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic on Friday, Nov. 1, will be scored the same as regular season payouts. However, fantasy earnings on the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday, Nov. 2 will be worth double so it could be anyone's game right up until the end. Regardless, you won't want to miss a week — final scores are based on your cumulative fantasy bankroll.

Win the most, win the game, win the prizes and bragging rights: First place nabs you a nifty $2,500 in cash. Second place gets you $500. Third place scores you an iPad mini. If you finish fourth through tenth, you win a gift certificate to the Breeders' Cup Online Store.

So grab some friends and get in the game. You can even set your own league prizes on the side if you want more action than the game already offers. But don't get shut out. Sign up or sign in to play Fantasy 'Capping now!
