- Family: Single.
- Through Oct. 4, 2009, ranked 23rd in North American jockey standings in earnings with $5,923,524 and has had 198 winners from 831 starters. He won at a 24% clip and was finishing in the money 57% of the time.
- Finished second in both Breeders' Cup efforts to date, the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (Miraculous Miss, 2007) and the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (Afleet Alex, 2004).
- Rides the Mid-Atlantic circuit primarily at Delaware Park and Maryland tracks.
- Top mounts of 2009 included Bullsbay (G1 Whitney Handicap, G3 Alysheba Stakes, Harrison E. Johnson Memorial Handicap), Smart Enough (G3 Highlander Stakes), Despite the Odds (G3 Hill Prince Stakes), Caprice (G3 Robert G. Dick Memorial Handicap), and Blind Date (Hilltop Stakes, HookedontheFeelin Stakes).
- Was suspended by stewards at Delaware Park for six months in 2008 when he struck a horse he was riding, Appeal to the City, near the eye with his whip. Rose appealed the suspension, which was then reduced to 90 days, saying the incident was accidental.
- Rode Afleet Alex to victories in the 2005 editions of the G1 Preakness Stakes and G1 Belmont Stakes after finishing third in that year's G1 Kentucky Derby as the favorite.
- Earned his 1,000th career victory on July 3, 2005 at Delaware Park.
- In 1999, started working as a hotwalker-groom-exercise rider for trainer Mike Petro at Delaware Park. Petro and his brother, Nick, a jockey, taught Rose how to race ride ... He took out his apprentice license in September 2000 and earned his first victory on Sept. 23 aboard Daly's Princess at Delaware Park.
- Won the Eclipse Award as outstanding apprentice in 2001 when he led all "bug" riders in wins (312) and earnings ($4,459,411).
- Showed Quarter Horses as a child and teenager ... Made his first visit to the racetrack in 1998 when a family friend Bobb Szeyller, an owner/breeder, brought him to Penn National ... Later got a job in Puerto Rico breaking babies with help from another family friend, Ben Guancillo.
