- Family: wife Samantha; children Brandon and Ethan ... Samantha is the granddaughter of noted Thoroughbred owner, breeder and philanthropist Robert Meyerhoff
- Education: B.A. in economics from Tufts University and J.D. from Harvard Law School
- Professional Background: Private equity investor … After graduating from Harvard, he worked for Goldman Sachs on Wall Street as an investment banker. For the next 10 years, he did private equity investing for Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts
- Racing Background: He was raised in Woodmere, N.Y. near Belmont and his father owned a couple of horses that ran there. “I went with him to the stables at 5 o’clock in the morning and always loved it,” he said. “I always wanted to own horses and now that I have more time, I can be more involved.”
- Racing Career: First became an owner in January 2005 when he purchased a share of Attila’s Storm, who went on to become a graded stakes winner and two-time Breeders’ Cup starter for his new connections; he was fourth in the 2005 Sprint and fifth in 2006 ... Winner of the Toboggan Handicap in 2007, Attila’s Storm also was second in this year's Alfred G. Vanderbilt and Paumonok ... Adam Wachtel, one of his partners in Attila’s Storm and the group’s managing partner, got him into the game after the two met while trying to buy a company from Joe Sweedler, who also owns a share of Attila’s Storm ... Brous and Wachtel have become fast friends and now own 15 horses and six broodmares together … They also own multiple stakes winner Desert Wheat, who captured the Shiskabob at Louisiana Downs ... Attila’s Storm is Brous’ lone Breeders’ Cup starter.
