Born: Dec. 23, 1970, Louisville, Ky. … Resident: Weston, Fla. and Saratoga Springs, N.Y. … Family: wife Cindy Hutter is the stable's assistant trainer and exercise rider, and son Ben … Racing Operation: Weaver is a former barn foreman for Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas and spent six years with fellow Lukas protégé Todd Pletcher as his assistant trainer in New York, New Jersey and Louisiana ... Training Career: Weaver broke out on his own in 2002 and won his first race Dec. 5, 2002 at Calder with Peachtree Stable's First Spear … Weaver currently has a 40-horse operation based at Saratoga Racecourse and a smaller string at Belmont Park before heading to Florida for the winter … Weaver's roll call of owners includes John Peace, R.C. Hill Stable, Evelyn Pollard and Dogwood Stable … Among his top runners so far have been grade 3 winner Christine's Outlaw (Poker Handicap), Pennsylvania Nursery winner United and the ill-fated sprinter Saratoga County, whose bittersweet 2005 included a win in the group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen and ended in late July when he was euthanized after suffering from laminitis. Saratoga County earned $1,646,590 and won six of 17 starts, including the Gotham, Mr. Prospector and General George … 2005 still could provide Weaver his first Breeders' Cup appearance with the maiden Dressed to Kill in the Juvenile Fillies … “This filly always has acted like she was quality,” Weaver said. “We started her out on grass because I didn't think breaking from the gate she would be quick enough to run six furlongs on the dirt at Saratoga. We think she's going to be quality and want to keep our options open.”
