Strengths: Outstanding gate speed and ability to carry that 9 furlongs against top-class company in the right situation. Handled quirky surfaces at Tampa and Keeneland, while underscoring her class at Belmont.
In The Genes: Sire, Louis Quatorze, won the 1996 Preakness and finished second (ahead of Cigar) in that fall's Breeders' Cup Classic. Best known as stallion for sons Choctaw Nation, Second of June and Repent. Dam Traki Traki was a stakes winner at Gulfstream and has produced four stakes winners. She was euthanized due to foaling complications in April of 2007. Her foal, by Closing Argument, survived.
Status: Retired Aug., 2007 and sold at Keeneland November sale. She brought a winning bid of $1.85 million from Shadai Farm in Hokkaido, Japan, where she will begin a new career as a broodmare.
