Strengths: Coming of age at 7, he's blossomed since coming to Marty Wolfson's care after falling into the claiming ranks in 2005. Seems to have found a home in flat miles.
Weaknesses: Older horses often fail to produce a rapid acceleration, and even though he's closed to win major mile stakes this year, note the final quarters ranging from good, but not great, :23-3/5 to :24-1/5 fractions.
In The Genes: Paternal grandson of two-time Breeders' Cup Mile-winning filly Miesque. Half-brother to millionaire turf runner Revved Up. Sire, Miesque's Son, is a full brother to Kingmambo. Dam Win Approval will be bred to Ghostzapper in 2007.
Status: 2006 Eclipse Award winner for Champion Turf Male, he retired following a poor finish in the 2007 Dubai Duty Free. He has been sold to South African interests for breeding purposes and will stand at Scott Brothers Highdown Stud, located in the KwaZulu Natal region on the Northeastern coast of South Africa. His 2007 fee will be R50,000 (about U.S. $7,100)
Bet You Didn't Know: Miesque's Approval paid $99.60 to win in January's $500,000 Sunshine Millions Turf.
