Strengths: Proved her mettle beating Midwestern giant Happy Ticket in a west-coast showdown at Del Mar this summer. Gritty front-runner rarely backs out of a dogfight and must be respected in the final quarter-mile.
Weaknesses: Finished 13th in last year's Distaff at Belmont when making a rare trip outside of California, and trainer admits she doesn't travel well. Sidelined briefly this summer with a throat abscess, throwing her schedule off a bit.
In The Genes: Daughter of 1996 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Boston Harbor, who was a multiple stakes winner at Churchill Downs as well. Dam, Gold Laika, has produced 4 winners and ‘Healthy' is her lone stakes winner.
Status: Though she had two unsuccessful runs in the 2005 and '06 Breeders' Cups, she won her second consecutive Lady's Secret Breeders' Cup Handicap in 2006, as well as the G1 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap. She is headed to the breeding shed for a 2007 date with Tiznow.
Bet You Didn't Know: Sire, Boston Harbor, set an all-time record for earnings by a two-year-old when he bagged $1.92 million in 1996.
