Strengths: Sophomore is a much more relaxed individual than when Bob Baffert took over the training of an unbridled Ohio-bred in the summer of 2005. Capable of 43-and-change half-miles, but also of sitting and pouncing when need-be. Baffert is a BC Sprint-winning conditioner, having won with Thirty Slews in 1992.
Weaknesses: Hasn't proven himself against the game's elite, especially older horses. No match for Henny Hughes at age two, and both look to have improved – but has that gap narrowed or widened?
In The Genes: Son of 1992 Eclipse Champion sprinter Rubiano, inronically beaten favorite to Bob Baffert's Thirty Slews. Dam, Ready for Roses, also produced 2005 Ohio-bred Horse of the Year Ready For Roses.
Status: Acquired by Audrey Haisfield's Stonewall Farm; stood the 2007 season at Sequel Stallions near Ocala, Fla. Will relocate to W.S. Farish's Lane's End Texas, near Hempstead, for 2008.
Bet You Didn't Know: Too Much Bling's dam, Ready For Roses, is in foal to Smarty Jones for the 2006-'07 breeding season.
