Won Eclipse Award as leading jockey of 1990, when he rode Unbridled, Housebuster, Safely Kept, Rhythm, and With Approval to grade I victories
Won the 1990 Kentucky Derby on Unbridled and that year's Breeders' Cup Sprint on Safely Kept.
Won earlier Breeders' Cup races with Eillo (1984 Sprint) and Rhythm (1989 Juvenile)
