  • Through Oct. 4, 2009, Albarado ranked 10th in the nation by earnings with $7,993,247. He had 156 winners from 873 starters, with a 18% win rate and a 47% in the money percentage.
  • Rode West Point Thoroughbreds' Macho Again to a runner-up finish by a head behind leading 3-year-old filly Rachel Alexandra in her history-making win against older males in the G1 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in 2009. Also won that year's runnings of the G1 Stephen Foster Handicap and the G2 New Orleans Handicap aboard the Dallas Stewart trainee, a son of Macho Uno.

  • Scored 4,000th win on May 30, 2009, in the ninth race at Churchill Downs on Keertana, then followed up that score with a victory one race later in the $100,000-added Aristides aboard Bold Start.
  • Was the regular rider for two-time Horse of the Year Curlin through the 2007 and 2008 season that included the jockey's first Breeders' Cup win in the 2007 Breeders' Cup Classic and a score in the ’07 Preakness Stakes. The duo also ran fourth in the Classic in 2008 and took that season's editions of the $6 million Dubai World Cup, the G1 Stephen Foster Handicap, the G1 Woodward Stakes, and the G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup as the Smart Strike colt ran through his 4-year-old year to become the first runner in American racing history to surpass $10 million in earnings. In 2007 they ran third in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands and second in the Belmont Stakes for trainer Steve Asmussen and majority owner Jess Jackson.
  • Led all riders at Churchill Downs’ spring meet in 2008, taking home the riding title with a clear 73-win lead over runner-up Miguel Mena’s 65 wins. Also became only the seventh rider in the Louisville oval’s history to ride 700 winners when he visited the winner’s circle aboard Shive’s Success on May 22, 2008. Agent Lenny Pike holds his book.
  • Created the Robby Albarado Foundation in 2007, a non-profit organization established to assist homeless, socially-economically disadvantaged, and less fortunate individuals in the Louisville, Kentucky area.
