Strengths: Trainer Tom Amoss is one of the top horsemen in the game and this filly has improved since coming to his barn in May. Indiana Oaks run over a long stretch at Hoosier that mirrors what's in store at Churchill and she's won down Hawthorne's long lane.
Weaknesses: Well-beaten in the Coaching Club Oaks, her only try against Grade 1 company and she's winless in two tries beyond 1-1/16 miles. All of her career attempts to date have been against fellow 3-year-olds.
In The Genes: Daughter of 1990 Breeders' Cup Mile winner Royal Academy, best known at stud for producing 2001 Mile champ Val Royal. Dam, Oatsee, is a daughter of 1990 BC Classic and Kentucky Derby champ Unbridled. She was herself stakes-placed and earned just over $100,000.
Bet You Didn't Know: Six sires have produced BC winners on turf and dirt (Cozzene, Danzig, Gone West, Kris S, Nijinsky II and Strawberry Road).
