Strengths: Closing style helps her in a Sprint division loaded with front-end speed. Has a solid runner-up against the gals on her record at Churchill and comes into the fall in peak form off two straight stakes wins.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent runner, finishing out of the money almost as many times as she's been in the exacta. No match for fellow Sprint hopeful Dubai Escapade this summer after defeating that star sprinter at Calder previously.
In The Genes: Daughter of young stallion Malibu Moon, best known for siring 2005 champion 2-year-old Declan's Moon, Grade 2 winner Perfect Moon and Tesio champ Ah Day. Dam, Ivory Mint, was a listed stakes winner in California and half-sister to Falstaff.
Bet You Didn't Know: The last time Malibu Mint was at Churchill Downs she was a 50-to-1 runner-up in the Winning Colors.
