 Silks and Media:

Strengths: Genuine, pure router has made 8 straight starts at grass distances longer than 10 furlongs. Graded-stakes placings at no less than 5 different venues in 2006 alone.

Weaknesses: Wheels back on just 13 days' rest after a gut-wrenching second in the Canadian International at Woodbine. Out-kicked late by Cacique in the Man o' War at 11 furlongs.

In The Genes: Half-brother to 1996 Pacific Classic winner Dare and Go, who stopped Cigar's 16-race win streak. Sire, Deputy Minister, was champion 2-year-old in the US and Canada in 1981, earning Canada's Horse of the Year. The late sire produced such stars as Go For Wand, Open Mind and Dehere.

Status: Retirement announced in July, 2007, and that he would be shipped to Lammerskraal Stud on the Western Cape in South Africa for stud duty for a fee of approximately $2,200.

Bet You Didn't Know: The last horse to win the Turf off a layoff of just two weeks was Miss Alleged, who paid $86.20 in the 1991 renewal at Churchill Downs.
