Strengths: Sensational pedigree and part of a stable that is having a career-defining season. Run-all-day type can carry her Grade 1 quality up to 1-1/4 miles and seldom fails to fire her best shot.
Weaknesses: Suffered a severe bout of colic in 2005 after a runner-up effort in the '04 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. Retired and subsequently brought back after one year and five months on the sidelines, so it's a question if she'll ever realize her ultimate potential.
In The Genes: Sire, Timber Country, won the 1994 Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Churchill and the 1995 Preakness. Dam, Destiny Dance, is a daughter of the great Nijinsky II and G1-winning millionaire Althea, the 1983 Eclipse Champion Two-Year-Old Filly and eventual beaten favorite in the 1984 Kentucky Derby. Destiny Dance, won the G3 Sheepshead Bay Handicap in New York.
Status: Scheduled for a 2007 mating with A.P. Indy.
Bet You Didn't Know: Balletto is the only United Arab Emirates-bred horse ever to compete in the Breeders' Cup.
