 Silks and Media:

Strengths: Amazing consistency at the highest levels of European racing, even his rare losses have come by narrow margins in races that were noticeably preps for bigger dates. Can finish with a flourish even with a poor trip, showing explosiveness the last furlong.

Weaknesses: Hard to find. It's worth mentioning that sire, Montjeu, floundered at Churchill in the 2000 BC Turf, finishing seventh as the favorite.

In The Genes: Son of European star Montjeu, winner of the French and Irish Derbies, as well as the 1999 Arc de Triomphe. Montjeu produced a Euro sweep of the major Derbies in 2005 as his son Motivator also won the Epsom Derby. Dam, Hold On, also has produced German G1-placed runner Hibiscus.

Bet You Didn't Know: Hurricane Run was privately purchased just days before his 2005 Irish Derby victory, but was leased back to his previous owner in order to run in those silks for that one race.
