Strengths: Has won major graded stakes both wire-to-wire and from off the pace, a rare combo in the Sprint division. Graded winner at ages three, four and five.
Weaknesses: Suffered a season-ending ankle chip in the 2005 Vosburgh and subsequent surgery sidelined him from the races for more than 10 months. All of his G1-caliber speed figures have come at Saratoga and he's not replicated them elsewhere.
Status: Stood at CloverLeaf Farms II, in Reddick, Fla. for the 2007 breeding season. With the closing of CloverLeaf, he will move to Vinery, in Summerfield, Fla., for breeding in 2008.
In The Genes: Now-pensioned sire Boundary was a top NY sprinter, winning the A Phenomenon and Roseben. Best known as a stallion for producing European G1-winning sprinter Minardi and Pomeroy. Dam, Questress, earned just under $100,000 and is a daughter of 1988 BC Classic runner-up Seeking the Gold.
Bet You Didn't Know: Named for knight Ralph de Pomeroy, an 11th century sidekick of William the Conqueror.
