 Silks and Media:

Strengths: Consistently strong efforts in all of the biggest 2-year-old races of 2006. Has shown the ability to exhibit sprinter's speed and the patience to relax and pounce, as he did in winning the 1 mile Champagne. Master trainer Todd Pletcher is the game's top current conditioner of young runners, and this colt rates among his very best in 2006.

In The Genes: From the first crop of 2001 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner and intercontinental 2-year-old champion Johannesburg. From the unraced Mr. Prospector mare Love Style, a daughter of G1-winning mare Likeable Style.

Status: Retired from racing in June, 2007, after having suffered a slight tendon injury. He will begin a stud career at Ashford, near Lexington, Ky., in 2008 for an initial fee of $30,000. He will also be a shuttle stallion, relocating to Coolmore Australia, for the Southern Hemisphere 2008 breeding season. His fee there will be $16,500(Aus).

Bet You Didn't Know: Scat Daddy is the first stakes winner sired by Johannesburg. He was named after his owner, James Scatuorchio.
