  • Residence: Naples, Fla., and CASA Farm in Lexington, Ky., a part of the original Idle Hour Stock Farm of the legendary Col. E.R. Bradley, breeder of Kentucky Derby winners Behave Yourself, Bubbling Over, Burgoo King and Brokers Tip. A parcel of that property became Mare Haven Farm

Purchased Baghdaria privately in the spring of 2006. In her first start for her new owners, she finished third in the Black-Eyed Susan and then won the Iowa Oaks ... Susan Atkins says she's amazed that Baghdaria, the Indiana Oaks winner and candidate for the Breeders' Cup Distaff, has brought them this far this fast ... "I'm just thrilled to be thinking about what's ahead for us," she said. ... In 2006-07 they also campaigned graded stakes-placed Whatdreamsrmadeof ... Breeding Operation: The Atkinses purchased the former Mare Haven Farm in Lexington in 2004 and, combining their initials, renamed it CASA Farm. They keep five or six broodmares on the property and their first two foals arrived in 2006. They plan to retire the fillies they race to replenish their broodmare band ... Baghdaria, 7th in the 2006 Distaff has been their only Breeders' Cup starter. She now heads up their small clan of broodmares and will be bred to A.P. Indy in 2008.
