Strengths: Two-turn maiden winner at the Juvenile distance of 1-1/16 miles. $700,000 yearling buy has nice mix of speed and endurance in his pedigree.
Weaknesses: Has yet to tackle stakes competition and has been victimized by wide trips in each of his three starts, a sign that he may not have push-button speed to get in and out of trouble.
In The Genes: Half-brother to Victory Lap, a stakes-winning mare who has earned almost $200,000. Son of 1994 Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Cherokee Run. Dam, Checkered Flag, is an unraced daughter of 1992 Breeders' Cup Classic winner A.P. Indy.
