Strengths: Trainer John Gosden won the inaugural BC Mile with Royal Heroine and has been down this road before. He was supposed to be retired, but came out of his last win so well his connections want to take one more shot. Big-field experience could be key in carving out a trip.

Weaknesses: Off the board in all 3 career starts in Group 1 company, he has to prove himself against the elite level. Prefers soft turf and sometimes struggles on the firmer ground.

In The Genes: Sire Indian Ridge produced BC Mile winners Domedriver and Ridgewood Pearl. As a racehorse, he was a multiple Group 2-3 stakes winner sprinting. Maternal grandson of legendary stallion Sadler's Wells.

Bet You Didn't Know: Prolific Mile sire Indian Ridge died Oct. 17 at age 21 of an apparent heart attack.
