- Family: wife Raquel; sons Elvis Jr. and Emanuel Jeremiah.
- Through Oct. 26, 2009, ranked 14th in the nation by earnings with $7,717,866 and 215 wins from 1137 starts. Was winning at a 19% rate and finished in the money 48% of the time.
- Trujillo scored with his first Breeders' Cup mount, Maryfield, in the 2007 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. With his only other mount, he was third aboard Cannonball that year in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. Did not ride in the 2008 edition.
- Quoted as saying, "... winning a Breeders' Cup race has opened some new doors for me, although this business is like an ocean--it goes back and forth just like the tides. One minute it's in and the next it's out again."
- Currently based on the New Jersey-to-Florida circuit; agent Cliff Collier holds his book.
- Top mounts in 2009 include Presious Passion (G1 Clement L.Hirsch Memorial Turf Championship Stakes, G1 United Nations Stakes, Monmouth Stakes, Mac Diarmida Stakes), Luna Vega (G2 Molly Pitcher Stakes), Chirac (G3 Philip H Iselin Stakes), Western Smoke (G3 Sapling Stakes), Gozzip Girl (G3 Herecomesthebride Stakes), and Kiss the Kid (G3 Appleton Stakes, Ft. Lauderdale Stakes).
- Took home the Monmouth Park riding title in 2009 with 129 wins, his first at the New Jersey track. Finished second to Jose Lezcano in the standings at Gulfstream Park for the 2009 meet.
- Rode his 1,000th winner to victory at Gulfstream Park on April 12, 2009, Bahia Girl for trainer Brian Lynch. He told the track publicity department: "To come to this country so young with so many dreams and see them come true is very satisfying."
- Dec. 15, 2007, booted home three graded stakes winners on the card at Calder. He won the G2 Kenny Noe Jr. H. on Paradise Dancer, the G3 Fred W. Hooper H. on Electrify, and the G2 W.L. McKnight aboard Presious Passion at 67-1.
- Moved his tack to Calder in 2006 and quickly became one of the leaders. In 2007, he won his first title at the South Florida track ... He would not defend his Calder title; mid-way through the 2008 meet, he relocated to Churchill Downs in the quest for larger purses.
- Won with his first U.S. mount at Hollywood Park in the fall of 2001. Continued to make an impression while still an apprentice, winning with his first two mounts at Arlington Park as well.
- Graduated from the Laffit Pincay, Jr. Jockey School in 2000. Won 35 races in his native Panama and 55 in Mexico City before coming to the United States in 2001.
