- Family: Single.
- Through Oct. 5, 2008, Baze ranked 37th in the nation with $4,648,544 in earnings and 82 wins from 711 starts. He won at a 12% clip, while finishing in the money 35% of the time.
- Top mounts in 2008 included Georgie Boy (G2 San Felipe Stakes), Harlene (Cal National Show Chief Stakes), Mr. Wolverine (TVG Khaled Stakes), and Salute the Sarge (San Miguel Stakes).
- A rising star on the Southern California circuit, Baze took the 2007 riding titles at Hollywood Park spring/summer and Del Mar meets ...wins at Del Mar included six stakes.
- Launched his career on the West Coast but moved East shortly thereafter, primarily riding the New Jersey circuit. Credits being able to ride day and night at the New Jersey tracks with priming him for his return to California in 2006.
- Earned first career stakes victory aboard Moorish Prince at Monmouth Park on Sept. 1, 2003 ... Scored his first graded stakes win aboard Symphony Sid in the 2006 Carleton F. Burke at Santa Anita.
- Though he did not get his start at the racetrack until he was 15, Baze said it all seemed to come to him naturally ... After galloping horses for a year, he took out his license on his 16th birthday ... Scored his first win on May 2, 2003 aboard Out on the Sly at Hollywood Park.
- Another in the seemingly endless Baze Family line in Thoroughbred racing ... Father, Mike, is a former jockey who rode mostly in the Northwest at the now-defunct Longacres and Portland Meadows in Oregon ... First cousin to fellow Southern California rider Tyler Baze, the 2000 Eclipse Award winner as nation’s top apprentice; second cousin to all-time winning rider Russell Baze, and nephew of Gary Baze, all-time leading rider at Longacres.
