 Silks and Media:

Qualified for the NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile via a victory in the Oak Tree Mile on October 7, 2007 at Oak Tree at Santa Anita, one of the Breeders' Cup Challenge series races.

Strengths: Supplementing to a race of this stature takes extreme confidence in your horse to not only compete, but have a winning chance to recoup the cash outlay. Gritty, determined battler seldom backs down from a fight and can finish with energy from 6-1/2 furlongs to 1-1/4 miles. He proved that in narrow loss in Clement Hirsch, which set world-record time for 1-1/4 miles on turf. Wonderfully versatile running style makes him a threat against most any pace scenario.

Weaknesses: Not a pure stayer in terms of 1-1/2 miles on grass, and has yet to win beyond 1-1/8 miles, though 1-1/4 miles certainly looks well within his skill set. A bit of a “hanger” in that he has not been able to put away runners in the final furlong when asked to do so, and his victories most often come by narrow margins that leave little room for error.
