Qualified for the TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint via a victory in the Vosburgh Stakes on September 30, 2007 at Belmont Park, one of the Breeders' Cup Challenge series races.
Strengths: One of the fastest horses in the opening quarter-mile we’ve seen in the last decade. Dominates inferior competition like a good horse ought to, but showed in the 2008 Vosburgh that he is capable of turning in a huge effort if a dogfight ensues.
Weaknesses: Physical problems have stunted his ascension in the division and in 2007 cost him the favorite’s role in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint. All of his major accomplishments to date have come on dirt tracks only.
In The Genes: Son of the hottest sire in the game right now, Smart Strike, who has produced the likes of Curlin and English Channel, two of the winners at the 2007 Breeders’ Cup. Maternal grandson of Lost Code, whose career-defining victory came in the Haskell Invitational.
