- Born: Dec. 29,1968, in Edison, N.J.
- Residence: Monmouth Beach, N.J.
- Family: wife Jenni; daughter Nina
- Through Dec. 31, 2007, he had ridden 68 winners from 363 mounts and accumulated $3,069,075 in earnings.
- Top mounts in recent years have been Capeside Lady (G2 Molly Pitcher H and Monmouth Beach), Park Avenue Ball (G3 Iselin H), Safari Queen (Orchid H), India (Azeri), Quiet Royal (Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf), and Portsea (Meafara Breeders' Cup Stakes).
- Two Breeders' Cup mounts include Capeside Lady (2005 Distaff) and Icy Atlantic (2007 Mile), both off the board.
- Began his career as a rider when Hall of Famer Angel Cordero put him on a horse at age 4 and promised him a career as a jockey if didn't get too big ... Took riding lessons until he was 15 then moved in with Cordero in New York where he started galloping horses for Allen Jerkens.
- Won aboard his first mount, Romeo's Mistress, on May 3, 1985, in New York ... Now based in New Jersey, he rides in the winter in Florida.
- Biggest win of his career was aboard Wise Times when he won the Haskell at his home track, Monmouth. At 17, he became the youngest jockey to win the prestigious race.
- He is the first-call jockey for Todd Pletcher's New Jersey string and is back-up rider in the East when John Velazquez has other commitments.
