- In 2007, Hill had 103 wins from 1,172 mounts and earnings of $4,647,382 to rank in the top 50 jockeys by earnings.
- Father was a jockey ... Hill began riding in Nebraska three days after he turned 16. Between his junior and senior years in high school, he rode full-time at Prairie Meadows. After graduating, he drove to New York to continue his riding career.
- Runner-up to Emma-Jayne Wilson in Eclipse votes for top apprentice jockey in 2005.
- First graded-stakes winner was aboard Golden Dawn in the G2 Barbara Fritchie at Laurel Park on Feb. 16, 2008.
- Off-track interests include John Wayne westerns, country music, and following the Chicago Cubs and Nascar driver Tony Stewart.
