Strengths: She can be thoroughly dominant against inferior competition and up to the test when faced with a championship-level peer who shares her talent level. Music Note appears equally adept from one mile to 1-1/4 miles, possessing a run-all-day style and the pedigree and ability to come home in fast final quarter-miles. A very efficient mover visually, which leads to her distance abilities.
Weaknesses: All of her wins have come against very small fields, so she’ll have to prove she can navigate the multiple challenges a bigger field presents. Note she has had some problems at the start, which may be magnified with more traffic around her. While she has defeated older horses in allowance company, Music Note has yet to tackle the nation’s best older fillies and mares. She has raced exclusively on dirt tracks in New York, primarily around one turn.
