Strengths: Strong early pace presence, but capable of slowing the pace and not running off if the situation presents itself. Versatile winner on turf and all-weather tracks, he’s won from 5-1/2 furlongs to 1-1/4 miles. Owner/trainer/breeder Bobby Frankel knows how to orchestrate a front-end heist on Championship day (see Intercontinental, Ghostzapper).
Weaknesses: Susceptible to being hooked on the engine, like he was in the Goodwood, if he does not clear away early. Must show he can carry top weights, and equal weights, at the Classic distance. He carried only 113 in his Hollywood Gold Cup win vs. 126 in the Classic.
