Silks

Strengths: Victories in New York, Texas and California testify to his ability to adapt to surroundings and handle horses from various regions. Deep closer has been able to score without significant early pace help. He has kept solid company lines throughout his career, even in the allowance ranks.

Weaknesses: Big fields have given him problems in the past with traffic and ground loss given his running style. Yet to be assigned significant weight in a top stakes race and has struggled above the Grade 3 level.
