Silks

Strengths: Tenacious turf sprinter keeps coming and coming, consistently making the top east coast performers in his division work hard for the money. Excellent traveler ships out of his Charles Town base for nearly every race. He does his best running on a firm turf course, which should suit him in his Breeders’ Cup aspirations.

Weaknesses: Race blew up for him in the Maryland Turf Sprint on Preakness Day, tangling at the start and never factoring. Given his low-profile home and bumbling performance at Pimlico, it’s reasonable to wonder how he handles big crowds. Has not won a race beyond 5-1/2 furlongs and has gone through a long, arduous campaign in 2008, though he seems to thrive on it.
