Silks

Strengths: Immense class and sustained brilliance to win four consecutive Group 1 stakes in 2008 over four different courses. He’s held elite company lines in Europe and has been able to make the ascension from 3-year-old races to defeat elders. Able to unleash his kick in both small and large fields, showing athleticism and a burst of speed that helps him avoid trouble.

Weaknesses: Distance questions remain until he proves himself, and visually he does not appear to want more than the mile races he’s been dominating. Pedigree suggests he may handle it, but it’s a new frontier … as his racing on anything other than turf. Breeders’ Cup Classic also would be his first race around a left-hand turn.
