  • Worked for his father from the time he was a boy walking hots, grooming and galloping horses. His first stakes winner was Accipiter's Hope, who was bred by his father and then owned by his mother. He was his father's assistant when the elder DiMauro trained four Breeders' Cup starters between 1989 and 1990: Nastique (7th in the 1989 Distaff), Mistaurian (4th in the 1990 Distaff), Shaker Knit (dnf in the 1990 Sprint) and Wildly Special (7th in the 1990 Juvenile)
  • The younger DiMauro was based in New York and New Jersey until he moved his stable to Calder Racecourse in 1994.
  • His only Breeders' Cup starter has been Two Item Limit, who ran third in the 2001 Distaff and seventh in the 2002 Distaff.
