More than seven years after he competed in his first Kentucky Derby with Trippi, More Than Ready and Impeachment in May of 2000, perennial champion trainer Todd Pletcher finally got his first Triple Crown victory, ending a much publicized and often-talked-about 0-for-28 record in the classics.

Rags to Riches' temp spikes, will skip CCA Oaks
Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Rags To Riches will not run in Saturday’s Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I), at Belmont Park as planned, trainer Todd Pletcher said July 16. The daughter of A.P. Indy spiked a temperature that forced the cancellation of her previously scheduled work, and Pletcher said she "hasn't quite seemed herself" for the past few days.
Belmont winner Rags to Riches retired
2007 Belmont Stakes winner and Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Rags to Riches will be retired to Ashford Stud where she will be bred to leading sire Giant's Causeway, it was announced Monday.
