May isn't just filled with Triple Crown excitement. It's also filled with DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship qualifiers. Check out the NHC Tour schedule and get registered for all the contests available to you. And while you are at it, get your family and friends to play in one or more of the contests. There are several free online competitions available in May.
Who Is In?
Congratulations to Paul Georgian (Hoffman Estates, IL) and Gaylord Grundy (Airdrie, Alberta) for securing berths to NHC 2012 at Hawthorne Race Course April 16-17. Click here to read more. Also qualifying that same weekend were Dan Shugar (Los Angeles, CA), Hieu Nguyen (Auburn, WA) and Sam Darron (Elkton, MD) on XpressBet.com and Brad Graham (Raleigh, NC), Mike Maloney (Lexington, KY) and Scott Carson (Yorktown Heights, NY) in the Grade One Gamble at Keeneland.
NHCQualify.com awarded a whopping 10 spots on April 23. Those qualifying to the NHC were Frank Polk (Oklahoma City, OK), Dennis Bright (Apple Valley, CA), Darrell Lerner (Great Neck, NY), Chris Seagle (Marion, NC), Joe Jarvie (Renton, WA), Steven Davidowitz (Las Vegas, NV), Mark Rudy (Wichita, KS), Darryl Mays (Plainfield, NJ), Brad Gerson (Fountain Hills, AZ) and Joseph Muzio (Mineola, NY).
Nicholas Alpino (Laguna Hills, CA) is DRF Bets' first NHC qualifier. Foxwoods awarded one spot to Frank Parisi (Staten Island, NY) on April 30. William Wilbur took first place in this month's TwinSpires Online Handicapping Series, earning a spot in Las Vegas.

Check out the May contest schedule on nhctour.com. DRF Bets will begin its May DRF Bets Tournament League on May 4. Click here to enter. The 2011 Public Handicapper Challenge begins on May 6. 2011 NHC Tour Leaderboard
Christopher Skotz (Campbell, CA) is the current NHC Tour leader after finishing first in the April DRF Bets Tournament League qualifier. He has three top 10 finishes in 2011with 6,100 points. Don't forget the top 100 NHC Tour point leaders at the end of 2011 will be eligible for a season-ending online tournament to be held early January 2012 awarding 15 seats to NHC 2012 or 2013 depending on your qualified status.
