Oxbow gave Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas at the age of 77 his sixth Preakness win and Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens at the age of 50 his third in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. Oxbow’s victory was the record 14th Triple Crown race win for Lukas, who was previously tied with “Sunny “Jim Fitzsimmons.
