Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez won the fourth race aboard Unitarian for trainer Todd Pletcher at Saratoga Race Course, becoming the track’s all-time leading rider with 694 victories. Velazquez, 41, had been tied with retired Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey. In August 2022, Velazquez became the first jockey to win 1,000 races at Saratoga.
