A two-year-old Forestry colt became the most expensive Thoroughbred ever sold at a public auction at the Fasig-Tipton Calder sale. Later named The Green Monkey, the colt brought $16 million. The previous record was the $13.1 million paid for Seattle Dancer as a yearling in 1986.
