2024 Veteran Southern Cal turf writer Art Wilson died at the age of 71. Wilson was born in Massachusetts but moved with his family to California as a child. He was first introduced to racing by his late father and began to cover the sport in the mid-1980s.

WHAT WE DO.

The mission of the NTRA is to increase the popularity, welfare and integrity of Thoroughbred racing through consensus-based leadership, legislative advocacy, safety and integrity initiatives, fan engagement and corporate partner development.
