A record crowd of 131,680 fans were on hand to witness Derby winner American Pharoah win the 140th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. The record crowd surpassed the previos record set last year of 123,469. Total handle on the day was $85.16 million, topping last year’s mark of $83.78 million.
