BIPARTISAN NTRA HORSE PAC®-SUPPORTED CANDIDATES HAVE STRONG SHOWING ON ELECTION DAY
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Thursday, November 5, 2020) –The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) today announced that 48 of the 51 federal candidates it supported through the bipartisan political action committee, Horse PAC®, during the 2019/2020 election cycle won their races on Tuesday. Overall, 48 of 49 Horse PAC®-supported candidates (98 percent) won their re-election bids with two other House races involving Horse PAC®-supported candidates labeled too close to call as of Thursday morning.
Horse PAC®-supported candidates were drawn from 19 states and included 46 members of the U.S. House of Representatives (29 Democrats and 17 Republicans) and five Senators (two Democrats/three Republications).
Horse PAC® has disbursed $382,000 to candidates thus far during the two-year congressional cycle through direct contributions to individual candidates’ re-election campaigns and to leadership and other PACs supporting both Democratic and Republican candidates.
