Avid racing enthusiast and handicapper, NBC Sports’ Randy Moss talks horse racing at Super Bowl Radio Row

Lexington, KY, February 15, 2024: In case you missed it last week, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) sent NBC Sports and former NFL Network personality Randy Moss to Super Bowl Radio Row from February 6-8, 2024. Moss, an avid racing enthusiast and handicapper, has covered the sport for decades as both a TV commentator and newspaper reporter. Not there to just talk about the big game, Moss previewed the emerging three-year-old favorites in the lead up to the 150th Kentucky Derby and talked recent advances the sport of Thoroughbred racing has made in equine safety.

Moss went viral on Tuesday morning when one of his interviews found out live on air that they were not getting NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver on their show but instead NBC Sports commentator Randy Moss. Aside from that lighthearted moment which took over X (Twitter) and much of the internet, his 12 interviews touched several media markets across the country including Seattle, Phoenix, Washington D.C., Orlando, Las Vegas, Tampa, Baltimore, West Palm Beach, and Richmond. Articles featuring Moss were published on the New York Post, Fox News, Defector, Sports Illustrated, Barstool Sports, The Daily Caller, and many more. The estimated media value of his time on Radio Row was approximately $250,000.

A full list of coverage can be found below and more information about the significant safety progress the sport of racing has made in recent years can be found at ntra.com/safety.
